ATTENTION DPDO PATIENTS
With an abundance of caution, our dental office has reopened! Please refer to the COVID-19 update below for information regarding some of the changes we have implemented during this unprecedented time.
We are systematically rescheduling cancelled patients since the COVID-19 shutdown in March. The process has been tedious, and we thank you for your patience.
Presently, we are finding that while booked through October, we have many cancellations daily that we are unable to fill. IF you are ready to return for routine care and do not have a scheduled appointment, please call us at 916-441-1555. We are generating a “quick call” list and will likely be able to see those patients with flexible schedules in the very near future. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you!
If you are having a dental emergency, call (916) 235-3736, and Drs. Finerty will return your call ASAP.
COVID 19 UPDATE:
Dear Valued DPDO Patients:
We sincerely hope that you and your family are in good health. We have all been
through a lot these past few months. We surely look forward to seeing you again
and returning to a somewhat normal routine.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Nothing is more
important than to keep you and our dental family safe. We are in the process of
implementing changes in our dental practice with the guidance of the American
Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Although we receive new information daily, these changes will be in place as your
next dental visit approaches:
Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some COVID-19
screening questions. These questions will be posted on this website, and
you will be asked the same questions again when you arrive at the office.
We are limiting the number of patients in our office to respect social
distancing. This means staggering appointments to avoid multiple patients
being in our waiting room at the same time and maintaining an open
operatory between each functioning room at all times.
Our preference will be for as many front desk functions to be handled by
phone. This includes making appointments, accepting payments, and
asking any insurance or billing questions. The waiting room will no longer
be available, so on the day of your appointment, please have anyone
accompanying you to wait in your car.
We insist that you come to your scheduled appointment on time and
wearing a mask. Only one patient will be scheduled in 15 minute
increments. If you are running late or desire to be seen early, call our
office first. Please do not just show up.
We will be sending you a text message and/or email the day before your appointment. Please respond "HERE" to that text/email when you are in our parking garage. You can also phone our office to alert us.
In our office, you will see acrylic barriers and our whole team
wearing masks. If you do not arrive with a mask on, we can provide you
with one, but please be mindful of our limited supply. We will promptly
provide you with gloves, hand sanitizer and plastic bags to place your personal belongings.
We will take your temperature and go over the COVID-19
screening questions. Then you will be directed to your operatory.
You will notice that our dental team is wearing additional personal
protective equipment (PPE). We also will provide you with a "Patient Dent-a-shield" to wear during your dental procedure.
Other universal precautions will continue as usual—cleaning rooms with wipes that kill all viruses on hard
surfaces in one minute. We will also be wiping down common areas at
In addition, please contact our office if you develop any signs or
symptoms of COVID-19 within the next 14 days following your visit.
Please be patient with us as together we navigate through these necessary
changes. All of us at Downtown Plaza Dental Offices greatly value your trust and
loyalty. We are committed to maintain the same caring environment with quality
dental care, and with special attention to safety.

Years of Experience
I have been coming to Downtown Plaza Dental for 10 years. Always excellent service for comfortable general dental care, but the real test was how they assisted when I had a dental emergency while on vacation out of state. I was impressed at how quickly Dr. Finerty and staff were able to ensure my comfort and safety from 2,000 miles away! I always recommend this firm.
Stacy C. - Patient since 2006
I have been served by Downtown Plaza Dental Offices for the past 37 years and am very pleased with the quality, professionalism, sincere concern, friendliness, and service of Dr. Michael Finerty, Dr. Jennifer Finerty, the dental hygienists and the staff of Downtown Plaza Dental Offices.
Joel U. - Patient since 1997
Everyone at the office, from front desk to the dentist were extremely friendly and gentle. I would highly recommend this place, coming from someone who sincerely dreads dental visits and historically visits as little as possible. I felt comfortable and did not feel berated for my poor track record with the dentist. I WILL be returning regularly.
